Course Overview (CA)
Over the years, the Chartered Accountancy(CA) profession has achieved rapid growth by virtue of quality professional services being rendered by its members, and has come to occupy a prominent role in our economy and society. As against a meagre membership of 1,700 in 1949, today the membership of the Institute is over 2,70,000. Increasing responsibilities are being entrusted by the Government and the society at large on the members of the profession and their specialized knowledge and skills are being utilized in various fields of activities. Statutory recognition is given to the role of the members of the profession and their audit / certification is insisted upon for various purposes in different statutes.
• ‘Entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course
• Papers 1 & 2 Subjective and Papers 3 & 4 Objective
• Test comprises four subjects
o Paper 1 – Principles and Practices of Accounting (100 marks)
o Paper 2 – Part 1: Mercantile Laws (60 marks)
o Paper 2 – Part 2: General English (40 marks)
o Paper 3 – Section A: Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning (60 marks)
o Paper 3 – Section B: Statistics (40 marks)
o Paper 4 – Section A: Business Economics (60 marks)
o Paper 4 – Section B: Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 marks)
• Passing Criteria – Candidates will have to score a minimum of 40 marks in each paper and 50% overall (200 marks) to pass CA Foundation exam
• Negative marking – the objective papers i.e., Papers 3 & 4 will have a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer
Examination will be held twice a year in the month of May and November with 3 hrs duration (2pm to 5pm) in case of Subjective papers and 2hrs duration (2pm to 4pm) in case of Objective papers.
We facilitate students by paying fees in TWO instalments for eligible courses. Following are our fee structure for CA / CMA / CS courses.
Level 1: Foundation – Rs. 20,000/-
Level 2: Intermediate / Executive – Rs. 5,000/- per paper
Level 3: Final / Professional – Rs. 6,000/- per paper
